NY EdTech Week
Program Associate
I worked closely with NYU Steinhardt and StartEd in the development of a new accelerator and incubator program with a cohort of 9 companies. The role focused on operations, product development, and user research.
The program also hosted the 1st annual EdTech Week. I coached over 30 EdTech companies from across the world in developing their investor pitches for the "shark tank" event. I also managed and organized the professional workshops delivered by an incredible array of seasoned mentors and investors. Highlights were an architecture tour of the World Trade Center by Build Academy as well as a group discussion on higher education by 2U.
Best Business Model
Start-Up Weekend: NYC
Start-up Weekend is an event where groups pitch ideas for new startup companies, form teams around those ideas, and work to develop a working prototype, demo, and presentation.
Through lean research, we developed a prototype for Indie Reader: a book recommendation app designed for students to find their next story based on their genre interests and Lexile levels.
I led the pitch to a panel of educators and investors where we won the "Best Business Model" award.
Professional Actor
Stage and Voiceover
I had a 10-year career as a professional actor. I did a variety of roles in musical theater, film, and voiceover work. Best known for his performance on the national tour of "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" Previous member of Actor's Equity.
Streamer
Twitch Affiliate
As a side project, I stream on Twitch to experiment and gain more experience with live streaming software like OBS and Streamlabs.
